Training description

The programme begins with a semester (September - December) of study at SIGMA Clermont, at which n+i students from several schools are together to improve their French language skills and their scientific skills. This programme gives rise to 26 ECTS credits.
In January, the students begin at CPE Lyon with a bibliographic project, for three weeks, in an area of their choice. This project is awarded 4 ECTS credits.
In February, students then integrate into the normal courses at CPE Lyon (semester 8). During this semester there are 4 modules of choice(one from each of the series 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the detailed programme) and 6 modules which are taken by all students, including a language module (French AND English). At the end of M1, all students must carry out an industrial placement of at least 3 months (15 ECTS). Students have the option of prolonging the industrial placement for a full year (60 ECTS).
In semester 9, students have the choice between three different specializations at CPE Lyon (formulation, life sciences-health, or process engineering), or a number of M2 Master programmes at the University of Lyon1. Details of these majors and master 2 programmes can be found under the courses for semesters 9 and 10 at https://www.cpe.fr/genie-des-procedes/specialisations-majeures/
In semester 10, students carry out a 6 month research project, either in industry or in a research laboratory at CPE Lyon.
