Welcome of the laureates of the "Lafayette Debates" contest
The French Embassy in the USA has entrusted the Network "n+i", as part of its "Rendez-Vous" program organization partnership, to welcome the group of laureates of the "Lafayette Debates" contest in Paris from June 24 to 28, 2019.
In the American tradition of academic debates and on the model of the Marquis de Lafayette's historical debate, the French Cultural and University Mission in the United States and The George Washington University propose to American students every year a question of interest common in the United States and France (Lafayette Debates). The theme was: Democracy is the best hope for Peace
The winners of these debates take part in a week-long study trip in June to Paris to further the issue dealt with in April.
This year the "n + i" Network has, in particular, proposed and organized the meeting with Mr. Etienne de GONNEVILLE Counsellor of the President of the French Republic, Mr. Laurent STEFANINI Ambassador of France to UNESCO and Ms. Béatrice PIRON MP. The laureates were received at the War School and in institutions working on topics related to the issue dealt with during the debates.
We thank all the speakers and partners of this event who contributed to its success. We share with you some photos taken during this program.
Every year, the "n + i" Network offers Rendez-vous programs to discover French technological know-how on various topics: sustainable development, aeronautics, agriculture, science and technology in sport, etc.
